Kingo-Root allows you to root your Android device with a single tap. However, it won’t support every device under the sun, especially ones with MediaTek processors from my personal experience. Add to that all newer Android devices running Android 6 and above, which includes an increasingly larger percentage of phones on the market.

When it does work, however, it’s a pleasant experience. It saves you so much time you’d otherwise spend looking up guides and tutorials scattered around the internet. It doesn’t come with any outright viruses or malware, but it does install some bloatware. Luckily, now that you have root access, you can easily uninstall the newly added bloat along with that which came with your phone.

Pros

  • Root Virtually Any Device with a Single Click No connecting the device to a computer, or downloading complicated bootloaders!
  • Broad Support for Many Devices and Manufacturers Kingo ROOT supports Nexus, Samsung, and many phones and tablets running both older and newer versions of the operating system.
  • Take Back Control Over Your Phone It’s your phone, not the phone company’s! Install any program you want, access advanced settings and say goodbye to bloatware for good.

Cons

  • May Not Work on All Devices Some devices and OEM specific OS versions just aren’t able to be rooted, even if that device or carrier has had positive root reports in the past.
  • You Can Break Your Device It’s important to note that any time you try to gain full access to your phone you run the risk of “bricking” or permanently disabling it. Proceed with caution!

Kingo ROOT is the easy way to root just about every Android device (both phones and tablets) in less than a minute.

Rooting your device gives you access to developer options, allows you to delete unwanted software from your phone and even install apps to your SD card – but it’s also really hard to root a device on your own, that’s where Kingo ROOT comes in.

In the latest version Kingo has made rooting your device easier than ever; backup your important data to your SD card (just in case!), run the app, click the giant ROOT button and that’s all there is to it!

Kingo ROOT supports Android OS version 1.5 (Cupcake) to Android 7.0 (Nougat). There is some known issues with Android 5.x (Lollipop) but most devices should root okay.

In the end ROOT is a quick and easy tool you can use to unlock most Android tablets and phones (even older models!)
